THEN: Holding Hands While Texting, NOW: texting While Walking
7:56 PMTexting while driving is not new anymore what more is texting while walking.
A animated video made by NTT Docmo showed what a mess it would be if 1500 peope would all cross in an intersection while walking. The animated video showed humans as wooden dollswalking through the intersection in front of the Shibuya Station in Tokyo, Shibuya Crossing.
Of course there is science behind the video. According to mobile carrier NTT Docomo The statistics offered in the PSA are from a study conducted by professor Kazuhiro Kozuka from the Department of Media Informatics at Aichi University of Technology. According to the professor, only 547 of the 1,500 who are texting would end up successfully walking across the street without an accident. Of the 953 remaining participants, there would be 446 collisions, 103 people who tripped and fell and 21 who dropped their phones.
Indeed we all do this everyday but it would be safer if every person has somebody to hold his/her hand. It would be much much safer plus each person could have an instant blush on on their cheeks.
